What david says

Acts 13:22 says, “After Saul was removed, he made David his king. He testified about him: ‘I have found a man after David’s heart in my heart. He will do everything I want him to do. ‘

The following words describe David’s heart as seen in his own writings:

Humble. The lowly men are only one tail, the high children are just one lie. If weighed in the balance, they are nothing. Together they are just one tail. Psalm 62: 9

Repentant – I pray to the Lord, which is praiseworthy, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18: 3

Respect – Have mercy on me, Lord, because I am in trouble. My eyes are weak with grief, my soul and my body with sorrow. Psalm 31: 9

Trust – The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life. Who should I fear? Psalm 27: 1

Beloved – Lord, my strength, I love you. Psalm 18: 1

Beloved – You have filled my heart with more joy when their grains and new wine are more abundant. Psalm 4: 7

Recognize – Lord, I will praise You with all my heart. I will tell you about all your wonders. Psalm 9: 1

Faithful – Surely goodness and love will follow me all my life, and I will be in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23: 6

Obedient – Let me understand, and I will obey your law and obey it wholeheartedly. Psalm 119: 34

Repentant – For your name’s sake, Lord, forgive my sin, though this is a big deal. Psalm 25:11
