Deleted scene

Deleted footage is footage that has been removed from the latest version of a movie or television show.

The related term contains an extended scene, a longer version of the scene that was shortened to the final version of the movie. Often, expanded scenes are added to deleted scenes or sent to deleted scenes, such as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Serenity. [1] [2]

Deleted or expanded views can be in any of the different formats. They may or may not feature specific effects (especially in science fiction and fantasy films where visual effects are more expensive), and the quality of the film may or may not be the same as the rest, but only Depending on how much was edited after production. [citation needed]

In addition, deleted scenes in animated films may not be fully animated scenes but will instead be included in the animated or blueprint format, as is the case in deleted DVD releases.
