Undavali hits out at CM, Venkaiah
VIJAYAWADA, SEPT.11: Former Congress MP Undavalli Arun Kumar has made serious allegations against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union minister Venkaiah Naidu, by stating that they were escaping from the issue of Special Category Status (SCS) on Sunday.
Mr Arum Mumar made serious remarks in the Meet the Press programme at vijayawada Press Club.
The former MP has alleged that Mr Venkaiah Naidu was caught redhanded by misleading the public.
“Mr Wenkaiah Naidu is showing 14th Finance Commission as culprit, but it is not a fact as the Commission has never objected to Special Status for Andhra Pradesh. Finance Commission member Abhijeet Singh has informed about it. He said finance minister Arun Jaitley sarcastically commented on special status. Why doesn’t Mir Chandrababu Naidu attack tje Centre despite so much of injustice?” Mr Arun Kumar questioned.
If special status is unnecessary, why did Mr Wenkaiah demand its implementation for 10 years in Parliament? “Speaking utter lies, he was caught red-handed. Its now time for him to speak out the truth,” Mr Arun Kumar said and added that Mr Venkaiah Naidu failed to convince the people that the special package is a much better option than the special status. In the process of saving his face and party in the Telugu state, he has exposed his double standards and opportunist politics, he added.
He stated that the TDBJP combine has come to power with the promise of special status to AP and the two parties will remain as betrayers in the history if it remains unfulfilled.
Mr Arun Kumar said that many people who were against TD-BJP in principle, have voted in the favour of the alliance with the hope that it will bring SCS to the state.
Mr Arun Kumar questioned as to how Mr Chandrababu Naidu went back on his demand for Rs5 lakh crore at the time of CWC decision and now accepting Rs3,000 crore for capital construction.
The Chief Minister had compromised and mortgaged the state benefits with the Centre for his personal political benefits, the former MP has alleged.
Mr Arun Kumar also questioned as to why the Centre was not filing the counter on his cases in the Supreme Court against the division.
IFSPECIAL Category status is not necessary, Why did Venkaiah Naidu demand its implementation in Parliament, questioned Undawilli Arun Kumar in Vijayawada.
Note: Arun Kumar says the CM mortgaged state benefits with the Centre
