Lokesh wants youth to follow senior TD leaders
Telugu Desam general secretary Nara Lokesh said that nothing would remain in the country except corruption if younger generations adopts the present new age youth leaders who robbed public money. He indirectly indicated YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and called the party cadres to follow the principles and morals of elders for a corruption-free society. Mr. Lokesh participated in the 97 birthday celebrations of TD senior leader Yadlapati Venkat Rao and conducted a meeting with party leaders at Tenali on Wednesday. Addressing the gatherings, he said that the elders are our power who were guiding the younger generation.
Mentioning about avoiding the elders by the youngsters, he appealed to the younger generation to love elders who gave us good culture and tradition which further gave us universal recognition. Calling Mr Venkat Rao as grandfather, Mr Lokesh said that we should learn love and affection from him as Mr Venkat Rao offered first caketohiswifegiving priority to family values. He promised Mr Venkat Rao to follow his values by present generation and further asked activists and leaders to strengthen TD from grass roots level by campaigning the welfare schemes of the TD government among masses.
Mr Lokesh asserted on the importance of discipline and asked TD cadre and leaders to follow discipline which is a must to get success. Mr Venkat Rao, recalling his association with late NTR, said that the TD is the only party which is working for the welfare of the public and added that he will continue in the TD till his last breath. He thanked the TD leaders and activists who extended their cooperation for his political career AP Assembly Speaker K. Sivaprasada Rao, minister for agriculture P Pulla Rao, minister for social welfare R. Kishorebabu, Guntur MP Galla Jayadev, MLAs and TD leaders wished Mr Venkat Rao on the occasion.
