As many as 20 people were injured in the stray dog attack on Sunday at Vinukonda of Guntur district. The injured were shifted to Vinukonda government hospital for treatment. According to reports, stray dogs carried attacks on the people including women and children in Kondametla Bazar, Pappu Bazar, Market centre, main road, Maseedu Manyam and other areas of Vinukonda town.
Initially, 60-year-old M. Saramma was severely injured in the stray dog attack and she was shifted to the hospital for treatment. Besides, K. Jainul, Nagulu. Srilatha, Sekhar, Rehman and others were injured in the dog attack and they were shifted to Vinukonda government hospital where doctors started treatment led by medical officer Dr B. Srinivas Reddy.
Vinukonda MLA G.V. Anjaneyulu visited the government hospital and consoled the dog bite victims and assured about providing good treatment. The Vinukonda municipality authorities pressed four teams to catch the stray dogs and appealed to the people to cooperate with the officials to restrain dog menace in the town.
