Respite to water problem in Anantapur
About 150 tanker loads to be supplied from Guntur a day: The Guntur district started supplying Water to Anantapur district on Monday. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu who toured Anantapur and observed shortage of the water has directed the Guntur district officials to supply water to Anantapur district.
Guntur district collector Kantilal Dande conducted a meeting and decided to send 150 tankers of water to Anantapur.
On Monday, tankers filled with water started to Anantapur to quench the thirst of people there and to meet the agricultural need of the farmers. Officials said Guntur municipal commissioner S. Nagalakshmi and other officials camped at Anantapur to supervise supply of water and as many as 150 water tankers would be supplied per day.
