Plus, Ridley Scott talked to movie.com and was very open about talking about the details about the engineers. Here are some excerpts:
So I've always been there that God-like creatures you see are not so good, and of course, God is not God. As she says, "This is not what I thought it was going to be, and I think we should get the hell out of here or there is no place to go."
It's not necessary to be planted in the ground at the tail end of the third act, but I knew where we should go, because if we opened this door - which I hope we have another thing to do. Would like One - I'd like to discover where the hell [Dr. Shaw] goes next and what does she do when she gets there, because if it's a paradise then heaven can't be what you think it is. Heaven is a symbol of immeasurability and profanity.
When asked how he intended to approach the film in order to attract the audience, Scott said of the film's launch: "I was hoping that you would be at the beginning of the film. There is a chain that is essentially creative. It is a donation, in terms of the weight and DNA construction of these aliens far more than we can even imagine. "
