Prometheus music not in the Original Soundtrack release
PrometheusForum user Tobias was kind enough to share his find (or edit) of the Prometheus track heard in the movie but not in the Original Soundtrack available on disc or at iTunes. You can listen to it below via his upload on Youtube.
On a different note, less than four days remain until the early and official release of Prometheus makes its way online. The release is supposed to include all of the deleted scenes found on the upcoming Prometheus Blu-ray.

Those are 2 of the parts that I’ve always skipped every time I’ve watched prometheus.
(The c-section scene being another.)

Why would you skip the c section?
Because its not very clever and just gross to be gross IMO.
I’m not really into saw or hostel or splatter punk in general.
I dont mind gore, and even love it when its belongs there.
When there is an intriguing narrative or emotional frame around it.
But the c-section scene just seemed like another arbitrary skit shoehorned in there for no good reason to riff on a franchise staple.
Like the flamethrowers.
Thats not a good enough reason for me to watch someone just trying to be gross.
I like the c-section scene, but I do think it was gratitious, as were some other scenes in the film. It was just there for body-shock horror and didn’t really add anything to the narrative.
No it was tied completely into the underlying themes of the film with the Deacon etc
Also Shaw was very emotional about not being able to convince

it was pure fanservice for those expecting another Alien

umm…it was a complete ripoff and change by your lord and savior Damon Lindelof, who thought birthing an Alien squid baby would be better and tie in with infertility theme. What a huge waste of film budget on this scene alone. It was laughable and lame at best.
