New Japanese Prometheus Poster and Trailer
The second batch of Prometheus promotional media in Japan has arrived in anticipation of the special showings this month and the nationwide release on August 24. The first series of Japanese promotional media can be found here.
Below you’ll find a not so visually inspiring poster with the tagline “Where did humanity come from?”, and a trailer that has scenes never shown before in previous Prometheus trailers.
Additionally, in this new trailer, there’s a shot of Shaw crying that didn’t make to the theatrical cut. This has been added to our list of deleted and alternate scenes from Prometheus.

i really wished the movie was just as awesome as all of the trailers for it.
p.s. the music sounds alot better without the inception tugboat sound effects
and the music in the movie was beyond terrible.

I’m sure the Japanese version of the film will be far superior to its western counterpart. There’s nothing like “Nipponese” precision. Has it been said who’s directing it? Can’t wait, I might even book tickets to Tokyo just to catch the premiere.
I don’t know anyone there though and I might not be able to afford accommodation all on my own. I know my wife wouldn’t want to go, she doesn’t like the film that much plus she has 3 little dudes to take care of.
If anyone’s interested in joining me for the Japanese premiere of the remake, we could share accommodation costs. Maybe 3 or 4 of us. I don’t mind sleeping on the floor. It’d be just one or two days, just see the film on August 24 and come back on the 25th (but might as well grab some real sushi while we’re there). I mean, I don’t even know how we’ll get in the premiere without any Jap connections. We could photoshop some Western Press Passes? My nephew is good at Adobe Photoshop CS6.

I’ve been so anxious just thinking about Prometheus not having a western sequel. With the news last week that Paradise might be cancelled I’ve been feeling sick to my stomach. Took a day off work last week when I read the news on my SmartPhone. Just couldn’t believe it. But if there’s anything I’ve learned from this movie is that I should have faith like Shaw does. Even if they officially announce that Paradise is indeed cancelled, then I’ll still believe in it. Even if it’s illogical. Even if Scott dies. Even if all of the world’s cameras mysteriously disappear. Maybe H.R. Ginger could direct it? That’d be mind bowling actually. Ah the thought of not seeing the home planet and history of the Engineers makes me gag. I might invest in filmschool and a camera for my elder son so he can hopefully shoot it when he’s older and wiser. I could be his mentor. The onset supervisor. Actually, no, I’d like to have no involvement in it at all and just be surprised on the day of the premiere. Oh my god, but what if I’m too old or dead when that time comes? God I think I should steal my neighbor’s prozac for a while. This is causing me too much anxiety. Does anyone know any cool sites I can browse for a few days to get my mind off of this? I’m biting my nails I’m so anxious. Oh god.
Anyway, thank you Viscal for keeping this community together. I feel incredibly close to you. You have my immense respect. We should be friends. Or maybe we shouldn’t, I like how it is right now. You’re kinda like an engineer or a god yourself. You’re there for us, guiding us and keeping us together like ignorant children. We shouldn’t mess this up guys. What would we do without this site? God.
