So is the Furious Gods part only on the 3D copy of the film?
I’m the guy who made the extras list for the blu-ray.com forum. Not sure why this news post mentions “progress in the seedy world” and “cracking the new encryption”, as even though they’re not officially released yet, I’ve bought my Blu-rays and paid for them in full (via contacts in the industry). If you’d care to read a couple of pages back in the forum thread you link to, you’ll see that I’ve posted photos of the Blu-ray covers (both the 2-disc and 4-disc release).
thx
Interesting.
Cute how the fox promo dept is dropping
“questions will be answered”!
Wasn’t that the concept of the movie in the first place?
Is that the new multi dipping method?
Release a garbled incoherent fanboy movie,
then force repurchasing multiple-sequels and multi-disk collections to try and make hide nor hair out of anything?
How very clever…
Thanks for the Info Viscal!
BTW: Lol @ SD derelict.
I wish there was a way to get the unedited “Zombie” Fifield.
Or the whole unedited movie for that matter!
And the we can just figure it out ourselves…
did you ever watch Lost? there’s nothing to figure out.
What’s left to figure out? The sequel will tell us why they wanted to kill us.
we killed the jesus-engineer that’s why
No, that idea was scrapped.
scrapped by who?
What a waste of money. Fox will bleed this movie for multiple releases including a director’s/extended cut later…I’ll pass! I have watched enough of the deleted scenes online that I am not missing much. The movie was not even very good and super easy to comprehend with all the little hints throughout the movie but these cult Prometheus fanboys think its super deep….and its not. I am an Alien fan and I will just stick to the super awesome Anthology that I already own. I wish Ridley and Fox had any common sense and stuck with Spaihts’ script, it would have delivered big time!
There are questions left, such as who created the Engineers, why did they create us, why did they abandon us, what did half the shit on their ship do, the purpose of the goo, how the deacon links to a xenomorph etc. There’s a lot more we don’t know.
Who created the Engineers?
Irrelevant question. Do you honestly think we need an answer to that? Maybe they WERE created by another superior race, but would you then expect an answer to who created them?
Why did they create us?
Because they could. Isn’t that the point of David’s line, to tell us that there doesn’t have to be a deeper meaning behind our existence?
What did half the shit on their ship do?
We don’t need an answer to this either. They had holographic technology for security cam footage and navigation, the buttons were squishy, what’s there to know?
What’s the purpose of the goo?
To kill.
How does the deacon link to a xenomorph?
It doesn’t. Why would it? They are all just bio-weapons created in a lab somewhere, who knows how many variations they have.
Exactly, this goo has so many purposes. Its basically a biological weapon that makes other biological weapons. I think the black goo or substance in the beginning of the movie does have a connection or maybe its an entirely different substance they manufactured. They possibly took this substance and made into something they shouldn’t have and it destroyed them in the process of testing it. All of these hints given in the movie by David and Janek. The payload was obviously going to earth to destroy us. David’s quote, “inorder to create you must first destroy.” Anyways the sequel will tell the story.
If you watch the opening scene again you’ll see that the substance the sacrificial Engineer drinks isn’t the black goo at all but an entirely different substance.
you’re right. The stuff it drank in the beginning was black goo on the rocks
I’ll have a Black Goo, on the rocks.
No, the stuff at the beginning was a rainbow coloured liquid
